Train at home by running alot (long distance and sprints) and play really good during practice. if you start beating the starters, your coach will look at you more.
Also be in good shape cause if you cant last long in a game, then you wont play as much.

Have you been playing hard and giving it your best? As long as you’ve been giving it your best effort I don’t understand why he would bench you the entire time. Even if your not that great of a player he should be giving you atleast some game time and exposure on the field. All I can tell you is to play hard don’t be afraid of anybody or the ball and practice, practice and practice!

First off, as a soccer coach myself, DON’T go to your coach and COMPLAIN. You may want to simply ask him or her what you can do to become a better player. That shows a coach that you are looking to improve and also want to help the team.
Convince your coach by working harder than any other player in practice (since everyone plays their hardest in games).
That should be a good start.

try competing against the current starter in that position that you had before that, practice at home
